University of NSW competitions
Each year the University of New South Wales conducts a series of written tests which are open, on payment of an entry fee, to primary students. These tests are optional and will provide for those who participate, a report and a certificate. Tests are administered at the school on the date advised, but set and marked by the University. Topics covered include English, mathematics, science, digital technologies, spelling and writing.
Life education
The life education primary school program consists of 13 curriculum based modules focusing on issues around food and nutrition, personal safety, physical activity, cyber safety, safety with medicine and legal drugs; tobacco, alcohol and caffeine.
The lessons provide students with the opportunity to develop strategies, and practice the skills required to avoid the harms associated with an unhealthy lifestyle.
