Dance group
Our dance groups are a very popular and important part of creative and performing arts.
At the beginning of each school year, students have the opportunity to audition to be part of our school dance groups. No experience is necessary.
Our dance groups perform at local Eisteddfods as well as special assemblies and concerts within our school community. The groups rehearse during lunch times once a week.
Music
Band
Kurrajong Public School has an excellent band program. It was first established in 1995 by Mr Bruce Fairhall (Principal) and Mrs Lindsay Wanstall and continues to remain an important element of our school culture.
From Year 3 onwards students can become part of this outstanding program, learning with a professional music teacher and performing in many different venues. External provider, 'The Music Guy', teaches students each Wednesday or Friday in our school hall. Our band performs at multiple school assemblies throughout the year.
For further information regarding music tuition, please contact our school.
Choir
Kurrajong Public School offers many wonderful opportunities for students who love music.
One of these is being a member of our school choir. Our well established and respected school choir consists of students from Years 1 to 6. Anyone who loves to sing can join and we always get a wonderful group of children who really enjoy being part of the choir.
The choir meets weekly to learn new songs and further develop their understanding of musical concepts. Our choir director is Miss Rush. Our choir performs at school events such as the K-6 Assembly, Education Week, Presentation Day ceremony and a number of community based events.
